Hawaii Days

When I was seven years old, my family moved to Kailua, a small town on the windward side of O’ahu. Our house was in a little lane that settled on the edge of Kailua Beach Park. Flowering plumeria trees grew in our neighborhood, and my sisters and I made leis for every occasion. We swam and played on the beach everyday, collecting shells we found on the sand, and surfing the little waves at Flat Island. Hawaii Days reflects those fragrant, sandy, ocean small-kid days!
